Take note, the hottest thing you should be wearing out this weekend is a black and lace combo mini dress. The basic black dress has been done and dusted and reinvented for the season. Winter inspires styles with extra lace and cut out sections to show some skin – party perfect and ready to be on show! Keep in mind: simple is always more effective, with silver accessories and black stilettos.
When was the last time you wore a LBD?

Here’s some more imagery from our pastel jeans shoot last week. Our model on the day, Sam, looked gorgeous and brought the shoot to life with her fun nature and cute poses. A huge thanks to StyleTread who provided the amazing heels for the shoot – check out their stunning range of shoes here: www.styletread.com.au and keep your eyes open for more StyleTread shoes being used in our Online shoots! If you’re like us, you’ve fallen for the Pastel Jeans Phenomenon and can’t get enough. Tips for this colour: wear with neutrals – your creams, whites and blacks or try pastel on pastel, another variation of the colour block trend. Here’s hoping it sticks around for a while yet!

There’s nothing like a bit of flower power to brighten grey and gloomy Winter days and add a touch of colour to a darker wardrobe palette. Printed tights are nothing new, but pretty posy prints for your pins are the next biggest trend coming through. As always, when pulling together your look, keep the rest simple: pair with cute ankle boots and an oversized top or knit- you want the tights to take centre stage.

Need some winter fashion inspiration? Get it here with our Stylist Lizzie Macpherson’s top picks for June-
1. FITTED KNIT SKIRT: The perfect winter skirt! Can be worn for day with a silk shirt, jacket, stockings and ballet flats or ankle boots- alternatively take it out for the night with a loose black top, some long necklaces and a pair of fabulous heels. Sooo easy..
2. CHIFFON LONG SLEEVED DRESS: Love an easy/simple dress, especially one that can take you from day to night with just a change of shoes and a belt.
3. KNIT BATWING SWEATER: It wouldn’t be winter without a knit, really loving this weave – try it in Charcoal, a great way of wearing a darker tone without wearing Black.
4. MID WAIST JEANS- Dark Indigo: These Jeans are such a great fit, go for an alternative preppy look and wear with a shirt, leather jacket and ballet flats.
5. LONG SLEEVED PLEAT DRESS: A new take (or a winter version) of the LBD, easy to wear and has just the right amount of detailing. I would keep the jewels to a minimum and go with a pair of boots to toughen this ”lady like” look up.

Leave it to our fave international export and style icon Miranda Kerr to pull off seemingly illogical wardrobe combinations with flair.
Pairing leather pants with a neon knit and 70′s style printed shirt sounds like a risky endeavour, but pushing the boundaries has rewarded Miranda a place on our best dressed list this week.
Try the trend for yourself and pair dark Jeggings with a neon knit for a shy girl’s guide to the look. Add a statement bag in a bold shade like Miranda’s red option, and you’re ready to go from mall to movie date like an A lister.
